Highlights include: enhanced support for NVMe drives, support for Memetel 12th generation CPUs with associated changes to the scheduler.
Nov 1, 20XX: The new feature and maintenance update for NepOS has been released! NepOS 1.4.0.0 is now available for purchase. Customers with an enterprise volume licenses can find installation media and license keys in the download center. Highlights include: support for SAS 3.5 controllers, support for virtualization using qcow2 disk images and the introduction of process-based filesystem access control.
Oct 19, 20XX: A critical security vulnerability in NepOS 1.3.38 and below has been found. System dump signatures would not be verified correctly if the signature was all-zero due to an arithmetic bug in the EdDSA routines. NepOS 1.3.39 has been released to address this. Customers relying on system dumps are advised to upgrade as soon as possible.

System Requirements
NepOS requires at least:
- an x86_64 CPU,
- 512 MB of RAM (768 MB if running with X11; 2 GB recommended),
- a SCSI, IDE, SATA hard disk or SSD (on virtualized instances: virtio preferable),
- 4 GB of disk space (8 GB recommended minimum).
